Professor Dr. Abd al-Fattah El-Awaisi (Al-Maqdisi)
Prof. El-Awaisi founded several international academic projects such as: The Field of Islamicjerusalem Bayt Al-Maqdis Studies (founded in 1994); The Annual International Academic Conference on Islamicjerusalem Bayt Al-Maqdis Studies (Chair since 1997); and the accredited academic journal, Journal of Islamicjerusalem Bayt Al-Maqdis Studies (Editor-in-Chief since 1997).
One of his main achievements is his intellectual contribution (theories and models) in the field of International Relations, such as new geopolitical theories: The Barakah Circle Theory of Islamicjerusalem Bayt Al-Maqdis; and Aman Theory (The Theory of Peaceful Coexistence and Mutual Respect).
He has received various local and international awards, including: Stirling Council Provost’s Civic Award 1999 - UK; Special Award for Innovation 2007 – UK; “Islamic World Istanbul ‘Science’ Award” 2018 - Turkey; “Custodian of Al-Quds Award” 2021 - Turkey; and most recently the “International Courage Award – Field of Academia” in 2025.
